DeleteIs responsible accountability being displayed by corporations that violate protection laws against the environment, given the mandated penalties as a form of punishment, and are the penalties just?
ReplyDeleteCorporations have an obligation to adhere to laws set in place for the purpose of protecting human and biological life, from chemicals with harmful effects. However, penalties for violations as the source of repercussions are not showing proof that they measure up to the crimes committed against the environment.

Announcement of a settlement with DuPont for penalty for a violation of a regulation that was committed through at least 3 years. 2 employees from the epa are involved with this news release. It contains important facts relating to the results of this violation, and the devastation caused. Also, points out a very small fine, comparative to the devastation.
